Hey Meeple People. My name is Michael Bartholomew, and I’d like to welcome you to Castaway Games, a website where I hope to share my journey with board game design (BGD) and provide regular updates on my creative process, ideas, and designs, as well as written blogs and board game reviews.

Full disclaimer, I do NOT claim to be a professional board game designer! Far from it at this stage. As it stands, I am barely dipping my toes into the ocean of BGD and I have A LOT to learn! But I am curious, passionate, and eager to learn as much as I can. I even went as far as to create this website!! So, if you knew me, that means I’m deadly serious!

What am I hoping to achieve from this site?

Well to begin with, I have had a creative itch that I have needed to scratch for a while now. I made the decision that taking a leap of faith to launch my own website will allow me to create new things and gain a tonne of new transferable skills in the process.

I have a goal to create a beautiful website with a section dedicated to my writing and creative endeavours. When I feel a bit more confident, I would also like to start producing some video content. Additionally, I am also hoping to meet some like-minded individuals in the same space, and I am really excited to share and collaborate with amazing people with equally amazing ideas.
